WHY TO FRAME NATIONAL SLINGSHOT SPORTS FEDERATION ?

  • A National Federation regulates and manages directly it´s Sport activities. Directly to Authorities, Clubs and Athletes. Federations can ask directly the funds from their Country Sport Authority
  • To establish, supervise, interpret and amend the rules regulating the practice of Slingshot Sports, to adjudicate disputes and take any appropriate disciplinary action;
  • Sponsorships (for competitions, for National Teams etc.) are easier: a NF is more credible because has the power to make decisions
  • Each NF has a direct and active voice inside their own Sport IF ,
  • Everyone speaks the “same language”, wants the same, and have same objectives
  • Slingshot Sports being united inside a Specific International Federation (under WSSF) contributes for the success of Athletes, Clubs and National Federations as everyone is integrated on the same decisions, same Sport
  • NSSF and WSSF make and decide together their own Events, Certification etc.
  • WSSF can directly ask for Full-Membership for IOC, SportAccord, WADA and all International Organisations important for any Sport to serve the Athletes and Practioners

     National Governing Body of Slingshot Sports Affiliated to WSSF  will be termed as NSSF for Respective Country and Only one (1) organization will be given such status in each Nation, NSSF will act as National Counterpart of WSSF in designated Nation,

    • NSSF’s must include All WSSF members in their Country, if any. Such members have the right to vote in the General Assemblies of the NSSF. In addition, WSSF members in the Country are ex-officio members of the NSSF Executive Board, within which they have right to vote,
    • National Slingshot Sports Federation will Recognise WSSF as the World Governing Body for Slingshot Sports, representing the Competitive Sling Shot Matters at International Level,
    • Will participate in Meetings, Training Sessions, Exams and Championships conducted by WSSF or under patronage of WSSF,
    • To participate in work of WSSF Commission in which the Members of NSSF has been appointed,
    • The Affiliated NSSF Will be bound by WSSF Constitution and Technical Rules (Current & as and when amended) and will undertake to promote WSSF Goals,
    • The Members , The Officers, The Athletes and the others Directly or Indirectly associated with NSSF will be bound by the Constitution, Rules – including Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct and Technical Rules of WSSF,
    • No Discrimination will be allowed against any Region or Any person on grounds of Gender, Specially Abled People, race, religion or politics,
    • NSSF should have a Structure of communication/liaison with the Highest Sports Authority of the Country and with National Olympic Committee for Membership,
    • NSSF will not Join or Deal with any other Slingshot Sports Organisation (may be with other name of “Gulel” (Known in South Asian Countries), “Catapult” in French language) at International or Continental or Sub-Continental Level without prior permission of WSSF,
    • Each NSSF is responsible for Observance, Execution and follow-up the Technical Rules, and Managing Slingshot Sports events under WSSF in their country,
    • The NSSF have the Exclusive authority for the representation of their respective country at the WSSF World Games, Regional , Continental or Multi-Sports Competitions patronized by WSSF,
    • The NSSF’s must preserve their autonomy and resist pressures of all kind, including but not limited to political, legal, religious or economic pressures which may prevent them from complying the WSSF Constitution,
    • Each NSSF will have 1 (One) Vote in General Assembly after fulfilling the Conditions for Organising National Slingshot Sports Championship for Three Years after getting approval of Status as NSSF from WSSF.
